Rate card
Every rate this publication charges, published. Also published: what none of it can buy. If anybody offers you a placement on this site that is not on this page, it does not exist.

What the money cannot buy
- A position in the register. The order is alphabetical and cannot be changed.
- A mention, link or reference in any article, now or in future.
- Any influence over what we publish, including anything about your own sector.
- Removal or softening of guidance you dislike.
- An endorsement, a rating, a review or any statement of quality from us.
- A link that passes ranking signals. Register and sponsor links are marked nofollow.
- Any presence in the newsletter beyond the one labelled sponsor line.
The newsletter sponsor line
One per issue. It sits at the foot of the issue, below all editorial content, under a heading that says it is a paid sponsor line. It is written by the sponsor and we do not edit it into something that reads like our own words. We will decline anything that implies we recommend it, anything that claims a product performance figure, and anything clinical.
Sponsorship of an issue does not affect what is in that issue. We write the issue first and sell the line afterwards, in that order, deliberately.
What we decline
- Paid guest posts and sponsored articles, in any form.
- Link insertions into existing articles.
- Affiliate arrangements of any kind.
- Display advertising and advertising networks.
- Product placements, product reviews and comparison tables of named products.
- Anything from a party asking us to change or remove published guidance.
We publish this list because a rate card that only says what is for sale is half a rate card. The full position is on the editorial standards page.
The session brief
One email a month on exposure, heat and sun protection for people who train outdoors and people who work outdoors. No product recommendations, because we do not make any. Each issue carries a single clearly labelled sponsor line that has no influence on anything above it.
